The Significance of Diners in American Culture

Even though my diet veers more towards quinoa and sauteed vegetables these days, I have whiled away many hours in various diners throughout the United States, consuming everything from scrapple and grilled cheese sandwiches to copious amounts of weak coffee. So I really  enjoyed reading writer Ed Levine's recent piece entitled "Why Diners Are More Important Than Ever" on the website serious eats. Definitely worth a read but might make you yearn for pancakes or a tuna melt.
