Vintage Maya Angelou interview posted at the Paris Review

The great African-American writer Maya Angelou, well-known by many for both her poetry and her best-selling memoirs died on May 28th. An apt way to recall her lively spirit is to read (her works of course, and) an interview available on the Paris Review's website. The conversation begins when the formidable George Plimpton states that Angelou would write "lying on a made-up bed with a bottle of sherry, a dictionary, Roget's Thesaurus, yellow pads, and ashtray, and a Bible." If that's not a tempting opening, what is?
