There's a lot of art going on in Wellington Tuesday night with dual openings at the Adam Art Gallery: What is a Life? a retrospective of works by Dunedin artist Kim Pieters, the video installation Follow the Party of the Whale by Shannon Te Ao, and a music performance by the experimental ensemble Eye, starting at 6 PM. Te Ao's installation is the first in RELOAD, a series of moving image projects, followed by those of Hito Steyerl and Eddie Clemens. Also at the corner of Webb St and Torrens Tce is the initial venture of Elbow Room: The Moving Gallery, a group show entitled Nothing but precious featuring artists Wendelien Bakker, Rebecca Fisher, James R Ford, and Mary Whalley, opening at 530.
